By using this app you agree that you are a registered attendee of the TED conference. Registration information that was provided to you is visible to attendees, conference organizers and/or partners of the TED Conference. It may be used to help us optimize the conference, understand which events are most attended, and provide TED with statistical information to help us evaluate the Conference, the interest it generates and the attendees.

Where TED uses Whereabouts location beacons at an event, you understand, agree and consent to TED collecting, storing and transmitting general location information of the beacon attached to your Conference badge via TEDConnect to other attendees and the TED team.

To the extent you upload any information or data through TEDConnect, you agree that you will abide by all laws, and content will not violate any proprietary rights of any third party. You agree not to use the TEDConnect App in any manner that is harassing, threatening, defamatory, offensive, illegal and or contrary to TED Conference guidelines and you agree to respect the privacy preferences of any other TED attendees and members.

While we fully expect everyone to respect these terms, in the unlikely event that TED determines that any attendee has not followed these terms, then we will have the right at our sole discretion to ask that individual to leave the Conference as required without recourse for any refunds and or credit for attending a future conference.

TED Connect may integrate features provided by third-party platforms such as Braindates to enhance attendee interaction. Your use of such features is also subject to the terms and conditions of the third-party provider, available here.
